Number knowledge.
We learn to count forwards and backwards, identify the number that comes before and after, learn what numbers look like on fingers and in sets, place value and lots more.
Adding and Subtracting.
We are learning to count objects, add two sets together by first counting all the objects, and then begin adding and subtracting in our head.
