The fire Service came to visit us today and tell us all about what they do. We thought that they only put out fires but we found out that they also help people get out of car crashes, clean up chemical spills, and even help save animals sometimes!
The children had the opportunity to get inside the cab and see the uniforms inside.
We learned about fire hydrants and how the fire engine gets the water to help put out the fire. We also had a turn holding the fire hose!

Mathew and I now check this site every night. It is great to see what is happening at school. Must have been fantastic to see the fire engine and learn about them. Keep up the good work Room 2.
