Making butter

This term we have been learning about how people use natural resources, or in other words, how people use the things that God has made. We have learned about how we use cows for milk, and that we also get cream from the milk. We use plants and milk to make chocolate too. We have also been learning about writing instructions, so to combine these we made some butter and then wrot instructions on how to make it. The children made the butter all by themselves and even took all of the photos. Unfortunately the photos aren't uploading to this blogsite at the moment, so they will arrive later.

How to make butter

Equipment
Cream
Salt
Container with a lid
Sieve

Method
1. Wash your hands.
2. Pour the cream into the container.
3. Put some salt into the cream.
4. Put the lid on the container.
5. Shake.
6. Put the butter into the sieve to get out the buttermilk.

Eat it!
